The Grands Crus
of Champagne

A legendary wine and a symbol of great celebrations, Champagne owes its effervescence to Dom Pérignon, the Benedictine monk who discovered it. Born in the province of the same name, it is now a must-have at celebrations, where opening the bottle is a ritual and its bubbles a veritable tradition. Made mainly from three emblematic grape varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier – Champagne excels in the art of blending, offering a unique taste and identity. Unlike still wines, it is often blended from several vintages to faithfully reproduce the distinct style of each house.

Champagne: the excellence of know-how

A symbol of prestige and refinement, Champagne embodies the excellence of French winemaking expertise. Each bottle tells the story of a unique terroir, where tradition and innovation come together to create exceptional vintages.

The three Champagne appellations

Today, the terroirs of Champagne are classified under three appellations: “grands crus”, “premiers crus” and “autres crus”. The “Grands Crus” include 17 communes in the two main wine-growing areas: Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs.
